everything at semple london is handmade to order in south east london. whether it’s based on something we’ve made before or a new idea, we start by asking you to fill out the custom request form, before movinh through the following stages:

consultation
if it’s something we can do we’ll have a consultation call to talk it through. following this, estimated costs will be shared, and should you be interested in going ahead a non refundable design fee will be due. the design fee will depend on the piece / ability to self-source / deadline and a few other factors). the design fee generally covers a combination of: initial sketches, construction logistics, your first in-person / virtual fitting, going fabric shopping / sourcing materials together.
confirmation
once you’re happy with the plan (assignment sheet), we’ll consider your custom confirmed (at this stage we’ll take a 75% upfront construction payment to secure your booking). from there, your piece(s) will be brought to life through fittings, machine work, handwork, and steady updates so you can see it all come together.
fittings
you’ll be invited back in for (sometimes a second and) a final fitting + collection — where we’ll make sure everything sits right before you settle remaining 25% & take your piece(s) home. turnaround is usually 2 days or 2 weeks depending on availability, urgency & complexity. (we also have remote fittings*, courier services & occasion dressing / styling available upon request).
aftercare
our commission creation process is intentionally very thorough & enjoyable, though if for any reason you were to need any minor amendments / were not happy with your creation or experience, we’re happy to have a chat about how we can do our best to turn that frown upside down prior to final fitting day.
